If you can be flexible with your moving date consider dates other than the middle or the last of the month. The middle and last of the month are busy times for moving especially in the summer season.
If possible book your moving date – 60 to 90 days in advance, especially in the summer season.

If you plan to do your own packing give yourself plenty of time. Check “ Moving Planner ” This will avoid last minute stress.

Start collecting suitable boxes with covers and packing materials. Try your local store and retail stores for boxes or go to “ Packing Supplies ” for all your packing needs.

Dispose of any belongings that you do not want to take with you to your new place.

Pack on a room-by-room basis, and identify each carton. By marking the contents and the location in new residence. If contents are Fragile be safe to put fragile stickers on cartons.

Make a floor plan with your new residents. This will help you to organize your belongings from old residence to new residence.

Keep the weight of your cartons reasonable, should not be more than 50 pounds.

Use only unprinted newsprint paper to wrap items. Printed newspapers can soil your possessions.

Allow refrigerators and freezers to dry at least one full day prior to move.
13.
Soft goods like pillows and stuffed toys may be packed in large garbage bags, these bags are useful as fillers when loading.

Use towels to pack lampshades and other fragile items.
15.
Tape and secure trays and other moving parts on refrigerator and stove.

Use wardrobe boxes to pack drapes and your wardrobe.

Furniture that is extremely fragile may require crating for safe moving i.e.) large mirrors, glass table tops, valued painting and marble table tops. If needed Dino's Movers will crate these items for you.

If possible to save you time on your move, have all furniture such as beds and tables dismantled.

Tie and bundle brooms, mops, bed frames and certain rods.
20.
Remove all heavy and fragile items from all dressers and pack in boxes.
21.
Clean and bundle your garden tools and drain fuel in all power motors.
22.
Remove all fixtures fastened to the wall that you entered to take with you to new residence.
23.
Measure any big items that you might have and then check exits on your old premises and the exits in your new premises, so you can correct any problems.
